Q:Tell us a little bit about yourself – where you live, about your family, what you did before DE?
A: I’ve lived in beautiful Bucks County, PA for over 35 yrs. I currently live in Yardley when I moved here in August 2021. We had downsized from our 3 acres in Richboro, about 20 minutes away. I live in a townhouse with my two beautiful and amazing daughters, Cady and Cailen. We have a cat named Jasmine, also called girl cat, and my daughter Cady’s German Shepherd, Thor. I have had many different jobs in my lifetime, often working for family and their businesses. My husband Bob and I started our own decorative concrete business in 1998. A few years later, we started our family. When he passed away suddenly in March of 2010, I dissolved the business. The years that followed, I volunteered, raised my girls and worked part time, and eventually found full time jobs.
Q: How long have you been an Independent Contractor at DE and what brought you here?
A: I was blessed to join DE at the end of 2023. I was looking for a full-time job and DE kept popping up in my daily feed. I wasn’t sure I was publisher material but being my own boss was what I was looking for, being able to evangelize was a sign from God. It was fate that I started in my new area since Adam and Tony Wright had mentioned there was someone close by already. It was Christina Bogdan! I had met Christina on St. Bede’s schoolyard being lunch moms together many years before. Tony, Adam and Christina have been great mentors to me.
Q: What is your favorite Easter Tradition?
A: Growing up with Polish parents, our favorite traditions for Easter was going to Easter Mass, then everyone would be at my parents’ house with all the traditional Polish foods and desserts, Easter baskets and an Easter egg hunt. These are still my favorite, but we now continue these traditions at my house. Since the kids are all older, instead of the egg hunt, we have a friendly game of HORSE in basketball or play card games.
Q: If you could travel anywhere, where would you go?
A: Egypt and Israel
Q: What advice would you have for someone new joining the DE team?
A: What you learned in training is what you need to do every day. I also highly recommend carving out the time to listen to the daily call if you can, there is always something that you learn or something that you need to hear that just clicks. There are peaks and valleys, as in any business, but hang in there and keep going! One more piece of advice: don’t be proud, ask for help!
Q: What is the weirdest thing you’ve had to eat?
A: Tripe
Q: What’s your go-to dad joke?
A: Oh boy do I have a lot of dad jokes! The first one that always comes to mind is…A horse walks into a bar and the bartender says “Hey, why the long face?”
Q: What do you love most about DE?
A: Oh my gosh, everything and everyone! I think that DE is not only a well-oiled machine, they also all do their jobs well and always with grace and a giving heart. They have the right people in the right positions. They are always supportive of your goals and achievements, and are there for you.
